Grant Parish, located in the upper middle of the state was created in 1869 from lands taken from Rapides and Winn Parishes. In this volume there is a short history of the parish followed by some short biographical sketches of early families within the parish. Most of the information on each family comes from those individuals involved, and therefore, we assume they are fairly correct.
