The story of Robert McCorkle Magill, Company F, 39th Regiment of Georgia Infantry. He ws born on the banks of the East Chickamauga Creek southeast of Ringgold, Georgia on November 21, 1842. He began to preserve his families memories in 1876 and published the McGill Family Record in 1906 from which this material is taken. This work also includes the descendants of James Magill, a native of Virginia and a Revolutionary War soldier and pioneer in the settlement of Tennessee.
