Genealogical Data Abstracted from History of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Middle Spring, Pennsylvania 1738-1900 - Wilbur J. McElwain. This is a new presentation of information found in the History of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church by Belle McKinney Hays Swope, which was published in 1900. The information is presented in a concise, tabular form, and can be used alone or as an index to the book. These tables differ from the ones in the original book in that they provide a separate entry for every person mentioned; thus brides’ names, the names of parents of baptized children, and relatives mentioned on tombstones are now given separate entries and are much easier to find than in the original work. Table I contains admissions to the church; Table II, the baptisms and births; Table III, marriages; Table IV, deaths and grave-marker inscriptions. Table V is a summary of the narrative portion of the book and its smaller lists (subscriptions, contributions, military service). The Session Book is from the church and, although not fact-full, it is an interesting picture of life, and has a separate index.
